Certainly, but only if you grow it the way the plant loves to grow, it needs acidic soil, regular watering, and partial shade but not completely indoors or dark corners.

How To Grow Betel Leaf Plant At Home

Potting Mix

Prepare a well drained potting mix with the following materials
Cocopeat 5 parts
Compost 5 parts
Garden soil 2 parts
Chunna or slaked lime 1 tablespoon
Coffee ground (used ) 1 tablespoon


How to grow with a cutting

  • Select a healthy plant, leave 2 -3 nodes that are thick and brown in colour, check for the nodes with aerial roots and give a cut.
  • plant this cutting in the potting mix as above 
  • cover with a transparent plastic bag
  • keep it in shade for a week
  • water when the potting mix is slightly dry


How to grow without taking a cutting of betel leaf plant

Method 1:

Buy a plant from the nursery and repot it with the potting mix as mentioned above

Method 2:


Take a plastic cup and fill it with potting mix 
cling this cup with the potting mix touching the aerial roots and the nodes of the plant.
After a week or 2 you will see that the roots has started growing in the cup.
now cut the node and start growing the plant as a new plant.

Fertilizer

Betel leaf plant needs regular fertilizers, you can use home made fertilizer made of chunna and turmeric
mixed in water, feed this to the plant once in a week for better growth or you can also mix 4-5 drops of sea weed fertilizer in 1 liter of water and spray it over the plant.

Watering:

Betel leaf plant loves watering everyday, so make sure to water this plant well and also give a good spray over the leaves and the nodes for better development of aerial nodes.

Where to keep Betel leaf plant at home

To grow lush green betel leaf plant always keep it in east facing direction, this is as per vaastu and healthy for the plant.
This plant must receive good sunlight for about 4-5 hours daily but avoid harsh afternoon sunlight.
Avoid dark corners and harsh sunlight.

Pinching/ Pruning

Pinch off the top part of the node to get more branches. Remove yellow leaves if any, they won't be green again.

Take around 5-6 betel leaves
200ml curd
sugar or stevia as per taste
put all ingredients in a blender and blend it well.
Seive it to remove any residue of paan leaves
pour it in a glass and serve cool 😎 



Instant Betel leaf Ice - cream

Take 10 betel leaves, rinse well and remove the petiole
Throw the leaves in a mixture grinder and add some gulkand
grind well 
sieve this juice and add it to vanilla ice - cream.
